That’s a tough question! When did I become a ‘scientist’? I guess I was quite little. I used to help my Dad in his lab (he’s a biologist). I liked science subjects in school (so i guess i was a scientist then too) and I studied science (physics) in college. After that I became a research scientist working on nanomaterials (really really small stuff with amazing properties). Now I lecture science and I work on research topics. Scientist at all stages I guess. Basically, what i’m trying to say is that being a scientist is quite a general term – there’s lots of ways to look at it. Your teacher is a scientist for instance!
