Slowest at moving? Well, there are some SUPER lazy animals that don’t really ever move! Barnacles and corals, for example (which are both found in the ocean) move around very early in their lives, and then they attach themselves to something on the ocean floor, like a rock.

But for the animals that at least make an attempt to move…one of the slowest is the 3-toed sloth. There are four different species (kinds) of them, and they all live in Central and South America. How slow are they?! Well, it would take a sloth about 7 hours to go one mile. Snails are also super slow, it would take them a day and a half to go a mile!!

I’m not sure if you’re allowed to watch YouTube videos in school, but if you are you should check out this video – it shows just how slow the sloth is! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ndMKTnSRsKM
